That's the idea behind Coffee and Cars, a weekly gathering of exotics, supercars, ricers, you name it, all gathering to enjoy the traffic-free Sunday morning roads, ogle each others cars and generally have a good time.

Let's face it, any video that starts off with a Porsche Carrera GT and a Ferrari Enzo as the first two cars featured, is worth watching, no?

1700HP Dodge Viper Twin Turbo

How does a 1700hp Dodge Viper Twin Turbo sound? Pretty sweet, right? This is Jerry Kennedy's 2002 Heffner Twin Turbo GTS being driven at the track for the first time by Gary Javo.

Get on board as this beast prepares to hurtle down the drag strip. It can't even get to the start line without getting sideways!

As you might expect, Gary's times are insanely fast and the in-car rumble and roar from the engine and exhaust are fantastic.

Even with a slow start and missed gear, Gary's running a 8.75 1/4 mile. Er, did we mention this car is fast?

208 MPH Hennessey Viper

Shout out to LongRun for this video.

Having just spent the past week running with a Hennessey Jeep on the Bullrun, we have ultimate respect for what John Hennessey can do to a car's performance.

Get a tour of the engine compartment of the Hennessey Viper from our test driver, John, as he prepares to take the snake over 200mph. Last year's car did a whopping 225MPH with 300 less horsepower, but the boys are having some trouble putting all that power to the ground.

After a 1st run of 208MPH the transmission causes some problems. After a 30 minute tranny swap out, they then run into some computer issues in 5th gear. Jeez, what ya gotta do to get a clean run over 220mph around here?!

But don't worry, we'll be bringing you an even faster Part 2 of this Podcast, so stay tuned.

Hence this Ford GT Twin Turbo getting some dyno action over at Livernois Motorsports. Turn up your speakers, this car sounds ridiculous!

Oh, and how about some numbers to go with that engine soundtrack? 904.7HP, 757 lb-ft of torque...yeah, those sound about right.

It's official, we love this car. We've been lucky enough to take a Z06 on 2 cross-country rallies and it ROCKED! The power is insane, the handling is fantastic and if things get slippery, just depress your right foot and accelerate out of trouble!

This is a really great compilation of Corvettes doing what they do best: driving at speed and burning endless amounts of rubber.

Watch for the 1st-thru-5th gear acceleration speedo & tach shots - amazing! 60mph in 1st gear, 120mph in 3rd...and we all know its got an epic top speed.

We're not sure if WyldFantasies was actually the one to record this vid, but if so...how's that black eye coming along?

Why keep a ridiculously fast road bike tied to the streets when a bit of a modification, some large off-road tires and a trike set-up open up an entire back-country to play in?

As our intrepid camera man states, "That thing's crazy, dude", and we think we'd agree. (We'll take the dog's bark as an affirmative response, too!)

Note to self: lots of HP + large off-road tires + mud & rocks = don't stand behind the bike when the rider hits the gas. As the camera guy says, "Ouch"!

BadAss 67 Mustang

And major hat tip to 1EVILSVT for shedding some light on this car's numbers!

The car apparently belongs to a Mr. Frank Pimpilio, and some bloke called Ernie, too. It uses a 570cid motor with two 88mm turbos and will run the 1/4 mile in 6.9 seconds at 230 mph. Yeah, 230, that's not a typo.

You can see it try to levitate off the ground as it maxes out the Livernois dyno. They couldn't get an official read but its HP is estimated at 2500+. Oh. Hell. Yeah.

Tribute To Porsche 997 Techart Turbo

De4dSn4ke is sad, and after watching this vid, we can see why.

This moving tribute is to their Porsche 997 Techart Turbo, a stunning piece of German engineering that we can enjoy watching do countless drag runs.

Each launch is clean, each run gets ever faster, and you just have to wonder if all that adrenaline then spilled over onto public roads. Because, alas, things did not end well for our P 997 TT. We hope the driver made it out alive...the same cannot be said for the car.

What's In The Barn?

If we hadn't seen the photos we probably wouldn't have believed this story. But we're so glad it's true!

A recently retired New Yorker and his wife decided to use their retirement money wisely and invest in some property. A house with a few acres in Portugal took their fancy and they went to have a look.

The property had been vacant for 15 years following the death of the owner and his wife. With no heirs to lay claim to the property, it was now being sold off by the State in order to pay off back taxes.

The house itself was appealing but a very large barn on the property was both ugly and welded shut. Gaining access to the barn was not including free as part of viewing the property and so a lot of people had passed on this steal of a deal.

The New York couple bought it for half of its worth and moved in. Pretty soon, the curiosity to know what lay behind the welded-shut steel doors overwhelmed them and, buying a generator and a couple of grinders, they cut through the welds...and entered Aladdin's cave!

The barn was full of vintage high performance cars! Cars included Lotus Elan FHC, Lotus Super Seven Series IV, Lotus Elan DHC, Porsche 356, Austin Healey Sprite MkII, Volvo PV 544,Giulietta Sprint, Giulia Sprint Speciale (SS), Nash Metropolitan, Alfa Giulietta, Lotus Europa, Lancia Flaminia Coupé, Peugeot 504 cabriolet & 404 cabriolet. Plus BMW V8, Formula racers, Chryslers, Mercedes and Austin A30.

The total value of this amazing collection? Over 35 million...and we're not even sure if that's in Dollars or Euros! Either way, all of the cars became property of the New York couple upon purchase of the house and grounds and you gotta know they're having a kick ass retirement now!

Camaros Burning Rubber

Nothing says rural America more than a deserted country road, a Camaro, laying down some rubber and pink smoke. Well, maybe not that last one, but it sure does look pretty, almost as good as the thick black tire marks the Camaro leaves in its wake. Sweet!

Not when the subject of this video is a tall, lean brunette with curves in all the right places. Meet Jocelyn Ireland, Miss MagnaFlow. You've got to be pretty confident of your product when it's not even featured in a promo. Hell, why bother. Those ad guys know we'd just be looking at the hot girl, anyway.

Oh, there is an Import Tuner 350Z in the background for some of it, but we really didn't get a good look. So shoot us, we were checking out the oiled-up bod standing in front of it!

We'd really love to say something clever about this video but, let's face it, action speaks louder than words.

The fact that the camera has to be about a mile away just to be able to get the full length of this insane jump in should give you a hint as to the size of the rider's cojones.

600hp Smart Getting Ready For Hill Climb

We have SLICK to thank for this Smart Video

Take pretty much any car and you can modify it to within an inch of its life. Case in point, the Smart car in this video. The wheel flares and body kit are about as big as the car itself, which given it's got 600hp is probably a good thing.

No telling on how it fared in its Croatian hill climb, but judging by the 'support crew' (ie the chick in the white shorts), we're pretty sure the driver doesn't really give a crap! Well, would you? We can hear the post-race talk now: "Oh, darlink, I'm so sorry you lost...how can I make you feel better?"

Everything seems to be going pretty smoothly and old Niko looks extremely relaxed. But then we get the excellent "skidding into the gravel trap" sound effects around the 4 minute mark. Looks like our 'post-race' talk was on the money!

Funny Corvette Dragster...Or How To Scream Like A Girl

We're pretty sure the passenger in this video is a dragster virgin and we're also pretty sure this was a "I'll try anything once" moment...that will never be repeated.

We're not sure what's most impressive - the fact that she manages not to hurl, the fact that she manages not to pee her pants, or the fact that we can hear her screaming over the noise of a Corvette dragster.

OMFG - we just re-watched the video...and it's a guy!!! Swear to God, thought it was a woman. Oh, that just makes this video SO much better.

Sexy Girls Have Trouble With Cops

The Bullrun Rally 2008 has just ended so what better time to take a look back at some clips from Bullrun past.

In 2004, the rally traveled from LA to Miami and oh, what a surprise, some of the Bullrunners got into trouble with the law.

Having just driven through Arizona, we know the cops there have zero sense of humor, as these Sexy Girls are about to find out.

Apparently it's unlawful to ride on the back deck of a convertible there (makes sense) but it's also against the law to jiggle your breasts. Who knew?! We love her explanation as to why they were moving around so much though! A Page 3 girl with a brain - outstanding!

Hummer = Bummer

I'm just going to throw it out there because I can, Hummers are pieces of crap. There I said it... and their drivers... don't get me started on the folks who drive Hummer's.. I mean nothing against them, other than the fact they have no taste in automobiles and don't know anything about off-roading.

The way I see it is, GM thought it would be a great idea to build a tonka-toy, which the Hummer is, but at least with a tonka-toy you know you'll be able to get out of the mud.

SICKNOTCH is a lucky guy. He not only gets to test Shelby GT500KR's, but he gets PAID to do it! What the hell?!

Ok, well, we can't be mad at him.

BUT, we can be mad at him for forgetting to charge his battery in his camera... only giving us about 22 seconds of full throttle, high revving, and supercharger whining action in the #5 Shelby GT500KR.

Turbo X Driving Academy

Not till recently has the Saab 9-3 been a contender in it's class (i.e. BMW 3 series, Audi A4, etc.) to the driving enthusiast... and that's because it's gone X (a special edition version with only 600 being sold in the states.) I know, you're still thinking... "SAAB!? Come on now... really?"

Yes, really... and for the lucky GMNEXT100 who attended the Turbo X Driving Academy at Road Atlanta, we've got footage of the intriguing the two day event!

Watch as Kaylan, the "Saab aficionado," take on the Break test, Skid pad, Slalom, and Autocross on DAY 1. The Double lane change, and several high speed laps on the savage track for DAY 2.

Some one get me a napkin... Damn it! And these were brand new shorts!

There is nothing in the world that gets my gaga's going like the combobulated (I made that word up) and assorted symphony of an F360 Challenge Stradale, Porsche GT3 and Ayrton Senna's Mclaren Honda F1 racecar, blaring their souls out on the track! NOTHING!

If the unbelievable sounds and sights of the cars doesn't get you're pecker pecking, then the editing should. This is a really well made video, with numerous camera angles... including exterior shots and an in car cam.

I recommend... no... I insist you watch all ten minutes of Some cars at the racetrack! In the voice of Arnold Schwarzenegger, "Do it NOW!"

StreetFire's Bull Run Update: Stuck in the Desert!

The StreetFire Bull Run team -- comprised of our fearless leader Chris Jones and his burnt orange, open air Cobra, along with copilot Karan Singh -- have broken down in the middle of the desert somewhere between Los Angeles and Scottsdale Arizona. Apparently a rock in the road snuck up on them and bit a hole in the oil cooler. At this very moment they’re waiting patiently by the side of the road for a flatbed to haul their asses out of the scorching Sonoran desert heat.

Will the Cobra avoid further predators and make it to Scottsdale in one piece? Will Karan be picked up by border patrol? If you want to bet on this one, I’ve got some beachfront property in Arizona to sell you. In any case, the race goes on without them. Check out the progress of the Bull Run rally here.
