Hayaboosta

Hayaboosta

BLUEBYU is offering up some dyno action for your delectation, but today we've got the 2-wheeled variety.

We're not sure the model year of the Hayabusa in this vid but let's just say it's a 2008 and it makes 194hp. Now that's a ridiculously large number. It's modestly respectable in a compact car but for a bike? Puhlease.

But no, that's just not enough for some people and so we bring you the Hayaboosta , a turbo'd version of this already insanely-quick bike that is now making...636hp. What?! Oh, and 330 lb-ft of torque. Whoever rides that bike has got seriously large cojones.

For something with just little bit more powe than that, check out Ronnie Aansen's Top Fuel Twin Drag Bike

Dynolicious Tests

Garage 419 Dynolicious Test
You may recall we did a little test of iPhone's new Dynolicious application and thought it was pretty sweet.

Well now our friends over at Garage419 have done a proper test, getting real dyno numbers on a car, taking it to the track and getting the time slips from the drag strip and pitting it against the more expensive G-Tech portable dyno unit.

So, can this $13 add-on finally persuade Matt to buy the iPhone? Watch the iPhone vs. G-Tech Comparo to find out.

For more testing of Apple's new Dynolicious software, take a ride in a
'03 350Z with K&N Typhoon Intake and Injen SES Exhaust with 2.5in true dual. Or test the performance of a Ford Explorer . Or see how a 2005 E55 performs, according to both Dynolicious and G-Tech.

OK...we're dynolicious-ed out.

Challenger SRT8 Dyno Test

Challenger SRT8 Dyno Test
It seems MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust has been having a bit of dyno fun with the new Dodge Challenger SRT8

The SRT8's already got a 6.1L Hemi V8 that's good for 425 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque but why stop there? Since more is always better, as this video shows, why not see what a dual inlet/outlet 18in. resonator, dual 11in. rear Mufflers, a 3in. system and dual rear exit without tips will do for you?

Apparently, a fair amount! 12 horsepower and 18 lb-ft, to be exact, which makes this particular Challenger 437 horses strong, with 438 lbs of grunt to back it up. Nice!

'07 Shelby GT500: 8.92 1/4 mile Run!

Shelby GT500: 8.92 1/4 Mile Run!
The fellas over at Evolution Performance have been at it again; making modifications to a perfectly good, and fast, car to make it, well, even better and even quicker.

And, apparently, adding 67mm twin turbos and 22.5 lbs of boost to a stock 5.4L 2007 Shelby Mustang will turn your GT500 into a GT1019 (horsepower that is, with 1016 lb-ft of torque to go with it).

We head from the dyno to the drag strip to see what those performance numbers mean in the real world. Guess what? The car's bloody fast! And with our driver getting better and better starts, the car turns in a 8.92 second 1/4 mile run at 158mph. Carroll would be proud.

For a Ford vs. Dodge match-up, who's your money on when it's a '09 Challenger SRT8 vs. Mustang 427R ?

iPhone Dynolicious

iPhone Dynolicious
Finally iPhone has actually come up with an application that's useful and a real incentive for buying the phone, if you haven't already!

Fireshake 's been kind enough to share this review, conducted by none other than the Streetfire.net 's own staff.

After some careful setup and calibration of the hi-tech equipment (ie the Phone and application), the live action test is performed on a CLS55 AMG. And while it might not be quite as scientific as a bonafide dyno facility, it's a damn site cheaper and a lot more fun.

Very Loud Stage 3 Cam Z06

Very Loud Stage 3 Cam Z06

We've said it before, we love the Z06. But, as ChargerRTZ can attest, there ain't nothing wrong with adding even more performance to this already stupidly fast car.

How does a Stage 3 cam, headers and 150 psi of nitrous sound by way of modifications? Pretty sweet, right! And the dyno runs speak for themselves. We're not sure how they're getting 554hp out of this car, stock, but that's the number it makes. But just wait til they hit the 'goody' switch and see that number leap to 708hp. Nice!

Vinny's Coupe

Vinny's Coupe

denmah thinks this video is worth sharing and we tend to agree!

This is Vinny's Coupe and he's done a bit of work to it, with a little bit of help from PSI Motorsports.

Get a good look at the car and then check out its numbers on the dyno. We think this coupe gets a Gold Star for "Most Improved Performance". Before 24psi is deployed the car's making a 'paltry' 819hp and 728lb-ft. Yeah, whatever.

Then PSI Motorsports does its magic and, hey presto, see those numbers jump: 1110.9hp and 809.6lb-ft. Now that's what we're talking about! Let's get that baby out on the street and see what she'll do.

For even bigger numbers, check out this 1700hp Dyno Run

The Correct Way to Spank a Pony

The Correct Way to Spank a PonyIn our quest to enhance the StreetFire experience, our marketing team thought it would be appropriate to demonstrate what make StreetFire unique from the other video sharing sites. It's from the same guys that brought you StreetFire.net is the Good Kind of Goat With Balls so it has to be funny! This is what kind of ideas we come up with in our Friday afternoon meetings when we use beer for inspiration!

Ford GT Twin Turbo

Ford GT Twin Turbo

Another great upload courtesy of STROKEDLS1Z289090

We already know the Ford GT is a fantastic piece of kit for the money, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be, er, enhanced.

Hence this Ford GT Twin Turbo getting some dyno action over at Livernois Motorsports. Turn up your speakers, this car sounds ridiculous!

Oh, and how about some numbers to go with that engine soundtrack? 904.7HP, 757 lb-ft of torque...yeah, those sound about right.

Listen to the Ford GT Twin Turbo on the dyno and get some in-car action, too.

900HP Procharged Corvette C5

900HP Procharged Corvette C5

Devil10Six is, evidently, a 'Vette fan, if this homage to his friend's C5 is anything to go by.

Get a step-by-step look at what the car's owner has put into his Corvette to turn it from a stock C5 into a 900HP Procharged beast. That's dedication!

Check out the car spinning its rear wheels on the dyno and then spinning - and heavily smoking - its rear wheels on the tarmac. Excellent burnout action!

Skunk2 Racing's Time Attack Evo On A Dyno

Skunk2 Racing's Time Attack Evo On A Dyno

Skunk2 Racing have been kind enough to upload a sneak peak at their latest effort before it hits the track, and they've cut it to The Prodigy: bonus!

Their Time Attack Mitsubishi Evolution looks like a monster! They aren't revealing too many details of what modifications they've made but the engine compartment is packed full of parts that just scream "MORE POWER".

Watch and listen as the crew puts the car through its paces on the dyno, taking the car to its 7,000rpm redline as the speedo races up to 100mph and then plummets back to zero.

This car promises to be fast and we can't wait to see it tackle its first Time Attack.

We have absolutely no idea what these dudes are saying but the cars in this Evo 5 Laps Battle video speak for themselves.

Evolution Motorsports - Porsche Compilation

Evolution Motorsports - Porsche Compilation

You are gonna love this video from VRAlexander

It's a really slick compilation of the sort of work coming out of
Evolution Motorsports 's facility in Scottsdale, AZ.

If you've got a Porsche that needs some tweaking it looks - and sounds - like these are the guys to go and see.

Check out the Carrera GT aiming for the 200mph mark in Texas, another Carrera GT on the dyno, some sick in-car, wheel-to-wheel, on-track action and more Turbos and GT2 than you'll know what to do with. Pretty sick.

Saleen Extreme Build

BigWoodRacing.com take us to the dyno in their Saleen Extreme Build video.

First off, the Saleen Mustang spins its rear wheels and tests the 'stock' setup to see what sort of performance numbers it can muster. Given it's a Saleen, you know they're already going to be pretty impressive.

Then it's time to bolt on a few extra goodies: a Saleen extreme s/c kit, BBK shorty headers and a BBK Catted X-pipe and see what she'll do.

Get a look at the dyno readout, see the tach hit redline and watch those rear wheels spin ever faster, striving for that big HP number.

Check out Saleen S7 Competition for some drag strip action.

F430 Dyno Test

F430 Dyno Test

We're off to the Dyno in aeb6ee73 's video.

If you've got the money to get yourself behind the wheel of a Ferrari, chances are you may not keep it stock for too long. The owner of this gunmetal gray F430 has been fairly conservative, adding just a Kreissieg exhaust system, but even small modifications can mean performance improvements.

Watch - and listen! - as the car gets pushed towards 150mph at the Lachute Performance Dyno and check out the performance numbers at the end. Sweet.

If that doesn't whet your appetite enough, check out Ferrari F430 vs. Gallardo Ignore the German voiceover and just enjoy the cars. Things get really good at the 4 minute mark.

VRAlexander and EVOMS Set New CGT Record

VRAlexander and EVOMS Set New CGT Record

Brought to you by VRAlexander.

VRAlexander, Evolution Motorsport and StreetFire's Jonathan Fambrough team up to capture VR and his 2005 Carrera GT win the TEXAS MILE standing mile record for the Porsche Carrera GT. Congratulations VR and thanks for sharing this moment with StreetFire.

EVOMS
) staff tests the GT on the dyno and shows the test results. It's fun to watch the GT's back wing appear. It raises a little over six inches when the car achieves 75 mph then pulls back in flush at a speed reduction of 50 mph or less. Cool! Then we watch VR take the CGT out on the TEXAS MILE runway. Like the jets that normally take to the air off this runway, you'll watch and listen to the CGT wind out and win the record.

This is one of the sexiest cars I've ever laid my eyes on whether standing still or in the wind. You should watch VR's CGT Compilation or any of his video uploads. They are exciting, professionally done and show a skilled auto enthusiast at work and play.

VIDEO: Dyno Accident

Dyno Accident

Brought to you by saabbygoran.

You won't get any safety sermons from Streetfire, but, this video is worth watching. It shows how quickly an accident can happen. It's a short video. Guys are standing around a Honda watching it on the dyno. An older man walks past those lined up along the wall, accidentally steps on the spinning machinery, and falls. Hopefully he's okay. The video comes to Streetfire from Serbia.

StreetFire's Top Videos of 2008!..(so far)

We're almost 8 weeks into the new year, and already we've had a couple of videos that were outrageously popular. Greenbeast absolutely blew the numbers out in January with two videos that got a combined total of over a half million views, and held the top spot for three weeks!

This is what 1,000 HP looks like

View VideoTHEPHAT is sporting one of the most powerful rides on StreetFire.

Bolt some hair dryers onto an already stout motor and this is what you get. This car isn't a Dyno Queen either. It's trapping over 140mph in the quarter mile as well.

Brought to you by Pictaboost.

Grooviest Dyno video of the week

I just love it when we get a video like this. Makes me want to tear my car apart and put it together stronger. Also goes to show what a little editing can do for a pretty static video. Great job by the folks at Macellaro's Performance Tuning.

Tuned up Mustang Shelby GT500 does 483 RWHP

Okay Okay I admit it, this is the second Shelby GT500 dyno I've posted in a week. What can I say I'm a sucker for any stock car that puts over 400 HP to the rollers in stock form.. This one does 435 RWHP stock and 483 RWHP with a mild tune! That's about 568 HP at the crank with 15% drivetrain loss!

BTW guys, PLEASE get a better microphone, this recording is all peaked out.... Also I would love to see the actual dyno graph.

Mustang GT 500 runs simulated Qtr mile

Okay, I've seen this car up on a dais at a car show, I've seen it in Ford "press videos" (read really really boring slow moving shots), but here is the first video I've seen of a GT500 acting like it damn well should. Love the part were it jumps sideways on the dyno.
